Undergraduate Class Planning
The medical school application process actually begins from your very first day of college. Specific classes must be planned out and completed before the MCAT should be taken and before the actual application can even begin. We will help you choose and plan out your course schedule from the very first to very last day of college.
Extracurricular activities are often overlooked by students, but this part of your application can make the difference between your first and last choice school. We will suggest and help you plan out many different extracurricular activities. We focus on activities that not only look good on the application, but more importantly, will help you grow as a person and future doctor. From participating in community service in a foreign country to starting your own organization, we can help.
Post Bacc Options
Choosing the right Post Bacc program is an extremely important step in your application. Understanding the pros and cons of each program is imperative in choosing the path that will get you accepted into medical school. We take into account factors like average grades, linkage programs, degree options, cost, etc when recommending the post bac program that best suites your needs.
Gap Year Planning
Taking time off between graduating college and applying to medical school? MedSchoolCoach can help you evaluate your application as it stands now and recommend the best options for a gap year, whether that be a post-bacc program, international work, clinical work or research work.
Confused about where to apply? We perform a detailed analysis of your statistics, state residency, location and career preferences and help you chose the best schools to apply to using our proprietary tools and algorithms.
We can provide a full evaluation of what went wrong with your first medical school application. We will work with you to figure out how you can improve your application on the second go around, including what to do in your gap year, what extracurriculars to get involved in, what classes you should retake, etc. There is a way into medical school and we will help you find it.
The medical school admissions game requires correct timing in order to be successful. We will advice you on the right time to apply, including whether you should take a year off to augment your application or pursue other interests, when to take the MCAT, etc.
Want to understand the difference between US M.D. schools vs D.O. schools vs Caribbean M.D. schools and how choosing one over the other may impact your career? Our advisors have the answers to help you make the right choice based on your career aspirations.
