About one quarter of US medical schools offer combined college/M.D. programs for well qualified high school students. The admissions into these programs is often times even more competitive than admissions into the top colleges in the world. Acceptances rates hover under 5% for almost all these programs, so putting forth a great application is essential.

It takes more than just great SAT scores to get into a combined/direct medical school program. You will need to show a serious commitment to the field of medicine and significant maturity. We help in developing your application to show these qualities, among others. We also make sure that the applicant brings forth in their essays and interviews that they know about medicine and understand the implications of entering the field, both positive and negative. We are physician mentors as well as admission consultants for our student.

For our combined/direct medical school applicants, we offer an all inclusive approach that includes, at a minimum, the following:

• Answering any questions in regards to extracurriculars, volunteer activities, shadowing and research experiences
• An initial consultation to determine eligibility for the programs
• A discussion exploring the pros and cons of going to a direct program over a traditional route
• A list of schools that you should be applying to with your combination of grades, experiences and SAT scores
• A list of backup schools for the traditional path to medical school
• Help drafting, writing, and editing your common application personal statement
• Help drafting, writing ,and editing your “Why Medicine?” essay which almost every school will require a variation of
• Editing of your supplemental essay questions from each school you apply to
• Interview preparation including group interviews, mock interviews, etc

We believe the best way to put forth a great application is to work through the entire process with our advisors. However, each section of our all inclusive package can be purchased separately if needed.
