Dr. Caitlin Blaskewicz graduated from Virginia Tech with a BS in Animal Science and continued her education at Boston University where she earned a PhD in Molecular Medicine. While in graduate school, Dr. Blaskewicz published in several peer-reviewed journals and was the recipient of both local and international recognition for her thesis research on cell-associated HIV transmission in women with genital inflammation. It was during her time as a PhD candidate that she discovered her love for teaching, first serving as a graduate teaching assistant in courses such as Intro. to Biomedical Science and Cell Culture before co-creating and instructing a new undergraduate course in Pathology. After completing her graduate work, Dr. Blaskewicz furthered her education at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine where she is now in her final year of medical school. She is currently applying for a residency in Internal Medicine with plans to pursue fellowships in Infectious Disease and Critical Care.

Dr. Blaskewicz holds a PhD from Boston University and DO from LECOM
