Bio

Nikhil graduated from the University of Miami with a B.A. in Biology and Sports Medicine. He thereafter matriculated to St. George’s University School of Medicine where he took many leadership roles in the Department of Educational Services as a peer instructor while remaining in the top 5% of his class. On clinical rotations, he maintained perfect honors status, scoring above the 95th percentile on all shelf exams. Outside the hospital he likes to spend his free time playing tennis as well as conducting multidisciplinary surgical research, publishing over 10 papers and abstracts thus far. He will begin his surgical residency at the University of Texas (UTMB) in July.

Nikhil has had 8+ years of tutoring experience both prior to medical school, teaching SAT and ACT, as well as during his time at SGU, teaching neuroscience, biochemistry, histology, and pathophysiology. He believes that optimal knowledge retention is a product of thorough comprehension as opposed to rote memorization. By structuring his sessions as an active conversation, he hopes to help students fully solidify intricate concepts in manner that will ensure retention long after test day.
