Bio
Dr. Howell graduated magna cum laude from Howard University in Washington, D.C., earning a bachelor’s degree in biology. There, he actively participated in the BS/MD Honors Program and served as a teaching assistant in the department of biological sciences. His commitment to education extended beyond the university as he worked as a high school math tutor for gifted students, showcasing his passion for teaching and mentorship. He then attended the University of Arkansas College of Medicine as a Tenenbaum Scholar, furthering his medical education with distinction. After becoming board certified in obstetrics and gynecology, he completed his residency at the prestigious Johns Hopkins University Hospital and Sinai Hospital in Baltimore, where he was served as the administrative chief resident.
Dr. Howell went on to complete a health professions fellowship at Harvard University, enhancing his skills and knowledge in healthcare leadership. He also holds an MBA in finance, graduating summa cum laude from the University of Tennessee Haslam School of Business, and he holds a law degree from Emory University Law School, where he again achieved summa cum laude honors. Throughout his career, he has contributed to the admissions and residency selection committees at various educational institutions, reflecting his dedication to shaping future medical professionals. Currently, Dr. Howell practices gynecological and pelvic surgery in Atlanta, Georgia, where he provides exceptional patient care and shares his expertise by teaching medical students and residents, mentoring the next generation of healthcare leaders.
