Bio
After studying English and psychology as an undergraduate student at U.C. Davis, Roxann enjoyed writing lengthy behavioral assessments for social workers. Once her colleagues sought her out to edit their reports, she realized her desire to help others improve their writing. She then attended Sacramento State, where she earned her master’s degree in English with a focus on composition and rhetoric. While there, she tutored undergraduate and graduate students with writing papers.
After graduating, Roxann continued to tutor students and teach writing courses in higher education. Of the many classes she has taught, her favorite to teach was a course for the University of San Francisco called Writing for Psychology. In this course, she helped students develop a research project from conception to completion. Currently, Roxann teaches college-level writing courses at Diablo Valley College and helps nursing students complete their master’s thesis writing projects for the University of San Francisco. She really enjoys supporting nursing students in their educational journeys when they were earning their master’s degree; therefore, MedSchool coach was a natural progression. Her favorite part of working with clients is helping them brainstorm how to take their ideas and make them jump off the page.
