    Preparation Meets Opportunity

Your residency interview is one of the most influential moments of your medical career. Even the strongest application can falter without polished, confident interview performance. At MedSchoolCoach, our physician-led team prepares you to showcase your strengths, communicate with clarity, and stand out in the eyes of program directors.

Our interview prep isn’t run by generic consultants. Each coach is a physician who’s been through the Match themselves and understands what program directors look for. Their insider knowledge helps you anticipate questions, avoid pitfalls, and highlight what matters most to residency committees.

95% of MedSchoolCoach students match into their first-choice specialty — a testament to our proven approach. Our residency interview prep gives you the tools to articulate your experiences and fit in ways that resonate with program leadership, directly increasing your competitiveness.

We tailor mock interviews to your chosen specialty and program type (academic vs. community). Each session can be recorded and followed by detailed, actionable feedback so you know exactly what to refine.

This isn’t just about interview day. We equip you with communication skills, confidence, and presence that will serve you throughout your residency and beyond. By mastering how to present yourself now, you lay the foundation for future leadership as a physician.

    Gain a Competitive Edge
    Less Anxiety, More Confidence
    Feedback to Meet Expectations
Securing a residency spot has never been more competitive. Strong grades and board scores open the door, but it’s your interview that determines whether you step through it. With MedSchoolCoach, you’ll gain physician-led coaching that helps you distinguish yourself, communicate with confidence, and leave a lasting impression on program directors.
Even the most accomplished applicants can feel overwhelmed when facing residency interviews. Anxiety can cloud your responses and diminish your presence, but preparation turns nerves into confidence. MedSchoolCoach gives you the tools, practice, and expert support you need to walk into your interviews composed, focused, and ready to succeed.
Residency program directors look for specific qualities: clarity of communication, professionalism, and evidence that you’ll thrive in their program. Generic feedback won’t get you there. MedSchoolCoach advisors bring insider expertise to ensure your answers resonate with what committees truly value.

    HOW IT WORKS

Enroll & Match with a Physician Advisor
Sign up online and schedule your mock interview with a physician.
    Participate in Mock Interviews
Choose your format (traditional interview or MMI) and run through realistic scenarios. The interview is conducted via video and can be recorded for you to review later, simulating as closely as possible the real interview day.
    Review Your Application Materials
Before your mock session, we examine your ERAS/residency application so your mock interview can reflect your experiences, achievements, and goals. This lets us customize feedback to what you’ll actually be asked about.
    Enter Interview Day Ready
By your actual interview(s), you’ll have practiced, refined, and gained confidence. You’ll know how to highlight your strengths, adapt to different interviewer styles, and bring focus to every answer.
    Receive Detailed Feedback
After the mock interview, your Physician Advisor gives live and recorded feedback on your content, delivery, communication style, and presence. You’ll understand what’s working and precisely what to improve.
    Practice, Refine, and Repeat
We provide specific strategies to help you refine answers, polish your non-verbal cues, and deepen your preparation. Many students benefit from multiple mock interviews so they can integrate feedback and approach every subsequent session stronger.

Yes! Once you sign up for interview prep, we will send you instructions on how you can record the session.

First, you need to decide which type of residency program you want to go into. You can go into a primary care residency, which is a general practice residency, or you can go into a subspecialty residency, which is a residency in a specific field. You can also look into the location of the residency program. You may want to look into programs in certain states or cities because they may have better job opportunities. Matching into residency is really critical.
