Andrew Yu completed his undergraduate studies at Washington University in St. Louis, where he studied biology and neuroscience. He then attended UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine, where he received his medical doctorate and was a coordinator for the Student Interest Group in Neurology.
He scored greater than a 260 on both his USMLE Step 1 and Step 2 CK, scores that put him in the top 1% of test takers in the country. His primary interests involve clinical research in the field of neurology, covering subjects such as neuro-oncology and vascular neurology, and mentoring medical students in a longitudinal fashion. He is currently an intern physician at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, MA and will be a neurology resident physician at the Brigham & Women’s Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital from 2018-2021.
