Dr. Ben Switzer graduated magna cum laude studying Biology at Ithaca College, during which he also assisted in arranging two separate international mission trips to the Dominican Republic and Guatemala. Following undergraduate studies, he went on to obtain two Masters degrees in systems biology and molecular biophysics, while also working in the emergency department as a lead research assistant. For nearly 2 years prior to medical school, Ben served as a recruiting associate for the Master’s program and also interviewed all incoming applicants to the research assistant position. While enrolled in medical school at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine, Ben served as an anatomy teaching assistant and president of the international club while simultaneously obtaining an additional Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration. Ben has been awarded numerous accolades for his pursuits including the American Osteopathic Foundation’s Rossnick Humanitarian Grant. He is now an internal medicine resident at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation with intentions to pursue a hematology/oncology fellowship.
