Gabriel Duhancioglu is a fourth year medical student at Chicago Medical School who is starting his residency in Diagnostic Radiology in 2019. He graduated with honors from the University of California, Irvine with a B.S. in biology and thereafter pursued a masters of science. During his university years, Gabe learned of his passion in social justice while on numerous medical mission trips to Panama, Nicaragua and Armenia.
While in medical school, Gabriel served as an interviewer for the school’s admissions committee, held numerous leadership roles. He also taught medical students in pathophysiology and anatomy, a passion of his that started during his undergraduate years teaching basic sciences. In all, he has taught for approximately 6 years – he relishes every chance to assist students to identify their weaknesses and to fortify their knowledge. He is happiest when he sees a difficult concept finally “click” for his tutees. I truly believe with sacrifice and proper guidance, any medical student can succeed in their goals. In his spare time he loves snowboarding different mountains or relaxing with a morning of surfing at sunset near his home in California.
Gabriel scored a 260 on his USMLE Step 2 Examination
