Joseph is a tutor at MedSchoolCoach with a passion for teaching and mentoring students at all levels in their journey to graduating medical school. He graduated with honors from Northwestern University with a Bachelors of Arts in Biological Studies. At Northwestern he successfully completed a senior honors thesis in basic science research. He was accepted to the University of California San Francisco School of Medicine where he currently attends. At UCSF he has demonstrated commitment to the school by serving as the student body president and participating in numerous committees including the Dean’s Council. In addition, he has mentored a number of undergraduate students applying to medical school and functioned as an admission’s interviewer for multiple years.
He has presented his research in multiple disciplines at national meetings and has been published in multiple peer reviewed journals. He is currently on a gap year as a Clinical and Translation Research Fellow after being awarded a NIH research grant. He plans to apply into interventional radiology.
