Lao-Tzu Allan-Blitz graduated magna cum laude from New York University with an interdisciplinary degree in Happiness. While at NYU he tutored various subjects and was an organic chemistry teaching assistant. He was also a research assistant, studying immune-based therapy for leukemia and prostate cancer. Between his undergraduate studies and the start of medical school, Lao spent a year working on an ambulance in Brooklyn where he became a crew chief of a small volunteer ambulance corps and helped train several classes of new recruits. Lao matriculated at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA where he has worked as an anatomy tutor, has served in several class officer roles including as second year class president, and launched a campaign to promote humanism across the health system. After his third year of medical school, Lao spent a year living in Peru conducing research on sexually transmitted infections. He is currently a fourth year medical student and is applying into a combined program in internal and pediatric medicine.
Lao has been teaching since he was young, and has taught a diverse array of subjects from theater, guitar, and singing lessons to linear algebra, organic chemistry and anatomy. He is passionate and dedicated to his students, and is happy to adapt to any learning style or preference a student might have.
