Marco is a Virginia native who graduated magna cum laude with a BS in Biology from James Madison University. During his undergraduate years, he enjoyed tutoring biology, chemistry, and physics to science majors. He was also active with the local rescue squad as an Emergency Medical Technician. Shortly after graduation, Marco began medical school at Virginia Commonwealth University. Marco has continued to excel in medical school, earning honors in the majority of his clinical rotations, having his toxicology research published, and being voted “Mr. M1” during a traditional first year talent show. As a new fourth year medical student he looks forward to interviewing for Emergency Medicine residency programs, working with the VCU admissions committee, and teaching a Practical’s of Clinical Medicine course to second year medical students. In his free time he loves going to concerts and going on outdoor adventures.
Marco believes the key to success in medical school is to maintain a balanced life. His unique teaching style focuses on making complex topics simple, and an understanding of how test maker’s think.
Marco scored >250 on his USMLE Step 1 and Step 2
