Matt graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign with a B.S. in Molecular and Cellular Biology. He transitioned straight to medical school, where he attended Rosalind Franklin University in North Chicago. Matt graduated this program in 2016 after having been accepted as a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha honors society. Currently he is halfway through his internal medicine residency at the University of Colorado, where he enjoys teaching medical students and interns alike.
He has a multitude of teaching and tutoring experiences including tutoring pathology, anatomy, and histology in medical school. While in medical school, he also tutored local high school students in a struggling neighborhood. Matt’s hope is to continue engaging students in the study of medicine in whatever role possible.
