Visakha graduated from Duke University with a BSE in Biomedical Engineering and a BS in Biology with a minor in Chemistry. During that time, she conducted research in tissue engineering and developmental biology. She matriculated at Duke University School of Medicine, where she holds several leadership roles and conducted both clinical and basic science research. She was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha in the fall of her third year and received honors in every clinical rotation. She is current pursuing a year of dedicated plastic surgery and tissue engineering research after completing her third year of medical school.
Visakha has many years of tutoring and mentoring experience. She has worked with a wide variety of students from elementary school to fellow medical students. She has served as a mentor for high school, undergraduate, and medical students. Visakha believes that each student has a unique style of learning that can be honed to achieve success.
