Dr. Garcia graduated from the University of Virginia with a B.A. with Distinction in Italian. While at UVA, she led tutoring efforts in the community at the elementary and high school levels, gave tours of a historical landmark, and was an international student host. After completing an internship in Washington, D.C. and realizing that was not the route for her, she worked for the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation. Dr. Garcia then attended Eastern Virginia Medical School as a member of the U.S. Army’s Health Professions Scholarship Program, serving for 2 years as both a student interviewer and campus guide for prospective students. She went on to complete a residency in psychiatry and fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu, HI, where she served on the child psychiatry fellowship selection committee. She is board certified in general and child and adolescent psychiatry and practiced in several states, as well as by telepsychiatry. During her time in the Army, she had the privilege of establishing and running clinics as well as being an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. After over a decade, she left clinical practice to spend more time with her family and is thrilled to be a part of the MedSchoolCoach team helping to guide the next generation of providers.

Student Reviews

I was actually hesitant when I first used MedSchoolCoach; it was a lot of money and I wasn't sure how much help I really needed. I am so glad that I ended up using their services! My advisor (Audrey Jordan) was phenomenal and helped me navigate the shipwreck that is medical school admissions even in the most challenging of times. The advice, edits, and support that I received though med school coach undoubtedly aided in my success to attend my top choice allopathic program in the fall.
