Aravind was born and raised in North Olmsted, Ohio, a suburb on the west-side of Cleveland. He graduated magna cum laude from Northwestern University with a degree in Biological Sciences, where he worked for the university associated tutoring company “NU Tutors.” He tutored high school and college students in a wide breadth of topics ranging from ACT preparation to intro-level physics. After graduating, Aravind matriculated to the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, where he continued to teach and mentor students. He scored in the 250s on Step 1, in the 270s on Step 2 CK, and performed well in his third-year clerkships, eventually being selected for the Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) chapter at Northwestern University. He is currently an Internal Medicine resident at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, and plans to be involved in medical education as he moves forward in his career.
