Bio

Cliff Yudkoff was born in South Korea and raised in New Jersey. He graduated from Northeastern University magna cum laude with a degree in Biochemistry. Afterwards, he worked in private biotechnology for several years in Cambridge, MA in the field of gene-editing. He graduated from Sidney Kimmel Medical College in 2023 where he achieved Honors on nearly all of his clinical rotations and was inducted into the AOA society his senior year. He was elected as Vice President of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons at SKMC. Throughout his undergraduate and medical school, he was highly involved in research within the fields of Neurosurgery, General Surgery, and Preclinical Drug Development with numerous publications. He is currently a neurosurgery resident at the University of Tennessee/Semmes Murphey Clinic where he remains actively involved in clinical research and medical student education.

Cliff has a passion for mentoring and teaching that has developed throughout undergraduate and medical school. He scored a 252 on Step 1, 261 on Step 2 CK and 248 on Step 3. Cliff is passionate about helping his students achieve their goals, and believes in a holistic approach to teaching and mentoring that focuses on maintaining a strong work-life balance. His approach focuses primarily on concept-driven approaches that emphasizes comprehension over rote memorization. His focus on teaching is goal-oriented, not just on the test itself, but ultimately to prepare students for clinical studies, residency applications to promote success in all facets of their medical school education. He enjoys developing strong relationships with his students to provide mentorship along their entire path throughout medical school and into residency.
