Dr. Barber graduated from Harvard Medical School after obtaining multiple research awards, publishing multiple first-author papers in top-tier journals, working with the Harvard medical admissions board, and redesign of the curriculum. Since then, he completed residency at Stanford in Internal Medicine and is now matched at Stanford for fellowship in Gastroenterology. He has advised over 100 students on pre-medical admissions from all backgrounds, with students gaining acceptance at many top-tier schools including Harvard Medical School, Columbia, and Northwestern. He is organized, prompt, creative, and professional with all students he works with.
Dr. Barber has always responded to me with clear advise and answers to my questions in a quick manner.
I didn’t feel like he was applying a formula or cookie-cutter method to my application. According to my story/unique application, the approach to the interview and how to highlight different parts of my application were tailored.
My mock interview with Grant was fantastic. He allowed me to answer each question then would go over specifically how to approach the question the next time and WHY it should be approached in that way. It was probably the most productive meeting I had.
