Jacques Zhang

Jacques Zhang, MedSchoolCoach Tutor
When Jacques started medical school, he struggled with maintaining his grades through the first quarter. After carefully examining his study process, he developed time management and study skills that helped him achieve straight A's throughout his medicine school career. He scored a 251/247 on his Step 1 and 2, and 737/674 on his COMLEX Level 1 and 2--a success that he attributes to these carefully developed study habits.

Coach's bio

Jacques was born in France and lived there until the age of 5, after which he moved to China to start his primary schooling. He always dreamed of studying medicine in the United States, and began his pre-med journey at the University of California, Irvine. After graduating with honors and a degree in Microbiology and Immunology, Jacques went on to attend the Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine where he finally began his medical career. During his first year, Jacques excelled in his anatomy course and spent his summer as an anatomy tutor to other students, including dentistry and optometry students, and developed his love for teaching both in the cadaver lab and the classroom. Jacques received a 737 on COMLEX Level 1, and a 674 on his COMLEX Level 2. He also took the USMLE exams and scored a 251 and 247 on Step 1 and 2 respectively. He completed nearly all of his clerkships with honors and performed well on his shelf exams. Currently, Jacques is applying for residency and is hoping to match into Anesthesiology. In his free time, he enjoys all things food-related, and loves to cook, bake, and explore local eats. To offset this excessive caloric intake, he enjoys running, weightlifting, rock climbing, and table tennis.

Student Reviews

I was actually hesitant when I first used MedSchoolCoach; it was a lot of money and I wasn't sure how much help I really needed. I am so glad that I ended up using their services! My advisor (Audrey Jordan) was phenomenal and helped me navigate the shipwreck that is medical school admissions even in the most challenging of times. The advice, edits, and support that I received though med school coach undoubtedly aided in my success to attend my top choice allopathic program in the fall.
