Bio

Jessica is a Boston-area native and earned her undergraduate degree in English with a minor in psychology. At the graduate level, she continued her education in English and earned an additional graduate degree in TESOL with a concentration in teaching medical English. One of her most rewarding experiences was teaching English to academically advanced high school students at Massachusetts Academy of Math and Science at WPI. She has also taught English in China and works with healthcare professionals all over the globe to prepare them for medical school and residency in the United States. She teaches the TOEFL and OET and assists healthcare professionals with English language editing and manuscript proofreading prior to scholarly journal submission as well.

Jessica has worked on several notable projects, including her master’s thesis on the short story cycle in addition to an award-winning research paper on a Kerouac novel. For her second master’s (TESOL), she completed a research project using corpus linguistics approach to study explicitly taught vocabulary in medical English textbooks.

Jessica’s greatest joy is working with students to help them achieve their goals. Being a writing advisor for clients are working on their personal statement allows her to help them discover who they are deep down and all they have to offer the world. She likes to encourage clients in finding their call.
