Bio

Jessica Maslaney has a passion for assisting others in articulating their experiences onto paper. This passion was first ignited when she worked as a writing tutor for Modesto Junior College. She continued tutoring as she pursued her bachelor of arts degree in English at the University of California, Berkeley.

Upon graduating from the honors program, Jessica joined Teach for America, where she dedicated three years teaching Spanish and English language arts to middle school students in Mississippi. While working as a middle school teacher, Jessica obtained her TESOL certification from Columbia University.

Following two more years in the field of teaching, Jessica took a position as a career counselor at Texas A&M University, Corpus Christi. As a career counselor, Jessica assisted students in resume and cover letter development, interview tips, career counseling, and so much more. She is honored to guide students towards discovering their talents and possibilities.
