Dr. Kate Spencer earned her undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill before receiving her medical degree from Drexel University College of Medicine. During medical school, she served as an admissions interviewer, gaining insight into how applicants present their experiences and motivations for pursuing medicine. She is currently completing her anesthesiology residency at Case Western Reserve University/University Hospitals of Cleveland.
Dr. Spencer’s interest in mentoring aspiring physicians draws on both her admissions experience and her own journey through medical training. Having approached the application process as both a candidate and an interviewer, she understands the importance of communicating a student’s individual path to medicine. She brings these perspectives to her advising, supporting students as they reflect on their experiences and prepare to take the next step in their education.
