Bio

Lucia is currently a medical student at the Indiana University School of Medicine, where she is interested in obstetrics/gynecology and research on disparities in maternal healthcare. She graduated from the University of California, Berkeley, with a bachelor’s degree in biology and a minor in global public health. She has been involved in multiple research projects, including studies in epigenetic markers for pancreatic cancer.

She has worked as an MCAT tutor with MedSchoolCoach since 2021 and has tutored for courses in math, science, and literature since high school. She uses her teaching experience to help students increase understanding and build confidence in tackling dense passages on the MCAT. As an MCAT tutor, she leverages each student’s unique learning style to nurture critical thinking skills and a strong foundation in the content. She also prioritizes building study plans that will effectively prepare students without overwhelming them.
