Dr. Mera Goodman graduated Cum Laude from Barnard College of Columbia University in New York City with a B.A. in Biology. After a mini-career in strategy management consulting, she completed her MD at the Renaissance School of Medicine at Stony Brook in New York, and subsequently, her pediatric residency and Chief Residency at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York. She has since been working as an Academic Pediatric Hospitalist where, in addition to clinical work, continues to conduct research, work on quality improvement, and provide medical education, advising and research supervision to residents and students. She has served on several academic committees, developed new courses, structured new clinical programs, and has an interest in EMR/informatics. She also participated in global health in Peru, India, and Madagascar.
She enjoys helping students navigate developing a clinical career. Her passion is thinking “out of the box” to purposefully map skills and interests to fulfilling experiences that help with long-term career development.
I purchased the Unlimited-Personal Statement package and worked with Davietta. Each draft that she revised was extensively edited with extremely helpful comments. I don’t know where my personal statement would be without her. She went above and beyond what I expected her to do, always available to answer my questions and help me through the process. I would recommend their services to anyone, and plan to use more services as I work on my applications this summer!
