Neville grew up in rural Monmouth County, New Jersey. Wanting warmth and excitement, he graduated honors from the University of Miami with dual degrees in Biology and Economics with a minor in Chemistry. In a short three years, Neville was able to clock over 400 volunteer service hours, work on multiple medical research projects and serve as a Teacher’s Assistant for Transmission Electron Microscopy, publishing articles in Nature Genetics as a first author and in American Heart Association: Circulation Medical Journal.
In addition, Neville was very active at the U as President of the Multi-Ethnic Greek Council, chair of the Student Multidisciplinary Hearing Panel for ethical violations of the Code of Conduct and one of five finalists for the 2013 ACC Leadership Symposium.
After graduating, Neville gained valuable clinical experience as a scribe at his local Emergency Department while applying for medical school. He gained administrative experience as Vice President of Finance of D.E.Psi, National Service Fraternity, Inc. In medical school, he continued his passions of teaching and service through tutoring medical students in subjects he had already mastered. In addition to achieving honors in Medical School, he scored >250 on Step 1 as well as scoring high honors in all of his core rotations during his clinical years.
He is currently a fourth year medical student pursuing the field of Surgery and will be applying for the Match in September 2019. He hopes to apply to University teaching programs where he can continue to use cutting edge research to bolster his learning and teaching abilities. In his free time he enjoys landscape photography, scuba diving and going on adventures on his motorcycle.
