Dr. Shivani N. Mehta earned her undergraduate degree from Johns Hopkins University and her medical degree from UC San Diego School of Medicine. She pursued residency training in psychiatry at Hofstra School of Medicine/Zucker Hillside Hospital.
Dr. Mehta brings 10 years of advising experience, including three years helping students gain admission to medical school. Drawing on her admissions and advising background, she helps applicants understand what programs look for and approach the application process with confidence. Her work reflects a commitment to mentoring students as they prepare for the next stage of their education.
Her interest in supporting future physicians also extends to creating educational opportunities and resources. At UC San Diego, she designed an award-winning aerospace medicine elective, bringing a specialized area of medicine into the learning experience for medical students.

Dr. Mehta combined her love of storytelling and science by publishing a research guidebook for pre-med students and collaborating with MedSchoolCoach on a research video series.
