Bio: Urshela Wiggins Atkins is a tenured English professor with over 16 years of experience in writing instruction and tutoring at the high school, college, and university levels. She received her B.A. in English from the University of Florida, her M.A. in English from the University of North Florida, and is currently a Ph.D. candidate at the University of South Florida.
Urshela has presented her writing at several professional conferences, both nationally and abroad, and her work has been featured in various publications, including a nationally published anthology on technology and literature. As a part of her professional tenure, Urshela works on several campus committees, volunteers as a writing tutor, and serves as a professor mentor.

Urshela traveled to Edinburgh, Scotland, and London, England in fall 2018 to present a conference paper and conduct archival research.
