Victoria Timmel grew up on Long Island and went to Providence College in Rhode Island, where she was her class valedictorian and received bachelor’s degrees in biology and psychology with a neuroscience minor. She spent her gap year at Boston Children’s Hospital, working as a clinical research assistant in pediatric ophthalmology and genetics. She then returned to New York and is currently a fourth-year medical student at the Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell. She scored in the 98th percentile on the MCAT, received a 256 on USMLE Step 1, 260 on USMLE Step 2, and scored >90th percentile on all shelf exams. She received honors on all core clerkships. She is excited to pursue a career in obstetrics and gynecology, with specific interests in sex education and high-risk obstetrics. In her free time, she likes to do barre classes, try new foods in NYC, and watch Survivor reruns.
