Owen graduated summa cum laude from UC San Diego with a bachelor’s degree in human biology and a minor in music. During his undergraduate career, he worked as a research assistant in a cancer drug development lab, guided students as a BioSci peer mentor, and volunteered in socialization and music interaction at Silverado Hospice. Additionally, he has been heavily involved in student organizations, holding leadership positions in pre-medical APAMSA, AACF, and NMDP.
As an MCAT tutor and aspiring doctor, Owen holds a strong scientific knowledge foundation and seeks to personally understand students and patients alike. This includes tailoring his skills to individual backgrounds, goals, and strengths while filling in the gaps by explaining concepts in a personalized way. He enjoys helping and seeing others achieve their goals!
