Rebecca attended San Diego State University where she earned a bachelor of arts degree in journalism and media studies. While there, she volunteered at the local PBS radio station and in the media lab, helping journalism students develop and edit stories for different news mediums. After graduating, she worked in public radio as an editor. She also started working for a government agency, the U.S. Forest Service, doing public relations/outreach, including editing informational content and internal reports, which she enjoyed as it was a way to connect with the public while also providing a service. She spent five years working in special education where she collaborated with others to help students achieve their educational goals.
Rebecca enjoys finding ways to connect with people. She also finds fulfillment in helping people express themselves, helping them translate their passion for medicine on to paper. She uses her journalism background to take her curiosity about others and use it to ‘extract’ (for lack of a better word) things from clients.
A multi-instrumentalist, Rebecca has spent the last several years as an accompanist and music teacher in her community. She plays in a three-piece band and is currently working on recording their original songs and releasing them on streaming platforms. She lives in Southern California with her husband and three children, and enjoys hiking and camping.
