Dr. Sauda Bholat graduated magna cum laude from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, California with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a minor in chemistry. She served as a university-level tutor for a variety of courses, including general chemistry, biology, and plant physiology, and volunteered at a local ER in an underserved community. Dr. Bholat attended medical school at UC Davis in Sacramento, California and completed her medical training at the internal medicine residency program at Yale in New Haven, CT. Having excelled there as a resident, she was nominated to be Chief Resident following training. She has experience on the admissions committees at UC Davis and Yale and spends most of her clinical time teaching undergraduate students, medical students, and residents. She is board certified in internal medicine and now works as an Assistant Professor at the Yale School of Medicine.

During her medical training, Dr. Bholat was awarded a Johnson & Johnson scholarship and spent six weeks in a rural region of Borneo, Indonesia providing medical care to the underserved. It took 50 hours of travel time from New York City, including a one-hour motorcycle ride and a five-hour boat ride!
