Bio

Humza graduated from Johns Hopkins University with a degree in classics after transferring from New York University, and was admitted into Phi Beta Kappa. He has worked on multiple research projects ranging from analysis of pandemic policies passed at the state level to modeling the relationship between the mechanical properties of microenvironments in our bodies and the behavior of our cells during wound healing and fibrosis.

From his varied experiences as a student and researcher, he has gained the foundational knowledge and analytical skills necessary to feel confident when tackling passages from any one of the MCAT’s sections, be it a philosophical treatise from the CARS section or a biology passage detailing experiments performed on mice to better understand heart disease. At NYU, Humza worked as a writing tutor for the school’s writing center. It was from this experience that he learned the importance of teaching students to teach themselves and that a tutor’s role, above all else, is to be a good listener.
