Meghan graduated summa cum laude from Brigham Young University with a bachelor’s degree in nutritional science and a minor in sociology. Currently, she is a medical student at Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine.
Meghan discovered her love of teaching while working as an undergraduate anatomy teaching and dissection assistant for two years. She also worked as a research assistant in cell biology and physiology. One of her favorite projects investigated how epigenetic markers can be used as a forensic tool in cases of domestic violence. This led her to volunteer as a sexual assault survivor advocate for the state of Utah, confronting intimate partner violence from both a research and community perspective. Clinically, Meghan has worked as a medical assistant for thoracic surgeons and as a critical care technician in the newborn ICU.
Working with students is one of Meghan’s biggest passions and she looks forward to helping students prepare for the MCAT!
