Dr. Tamimi attended Rutgers University in his home state of New Jersey, where he studied biological sciences and political science, graduating with honors. During his time at Rutgers, he was accepted into the early decision program at Rutgers-New Jersey Medical School and served as a student admissions interviewer and mentor for matriculating medical students. After medical school, he completed his training at New York University (NYU), gaining double board certification in neurology and headache medicine while serving as the chief resident of administration and recruitment.
Currently, Dr. Tamimi is completing his MPH in health policy and management at the City University of New York, while also teaching as adjunct faculty at Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine. Ultimately, he plans to meld his clinical, public health, and medical education roles to further advance his impact in the field.
