Todd graduated with high university honors with his bachelor’s degree in English and psychology from the University of Texas. During this time, he also studied Shakespeare at Oxford University. Because of his academic success, Todd was awarded membership to Phi Beta Kappa and Sigma Tau Delta English Honor Society. He then went on to earn a master’s degree in technical communication from Texas Tech University, graduating summa cum laude, completing coursework in the rhetoric of scientific literature, teaching professional writing, writing assessment, and technical editing.
For the past 25 years, Todd has worked in educational publishing as an editor and writer developing English language arts curriculum and writing assessments for K-12 schools.
Todd is also a widely published creative writer. He has won the William D. Barney Memorial Chapbook Contest and the Catherine Case Lubbe Manuscript Contest, and his work has been nominated for the Pushcart Prize. He has published over 60 poems and stories in anthologies and literary journals on three continents.
