Adam is originally from Dayton, Ohio, where he attended Wright State University for his undergraduate studies. During this time, he tutored a wide range of subjects, from organic chemistry to anatomy and physiology, while also serving as an undergraduate teaching assistant for A&P. Simultaneously, he worked in a neuroscience lab, contributing to the development of smarter adaptive prosthetics. Following graduation, he took a gap year during which he worked as a medical scribe in family medicine and cardiology offices and then transitioned to medical school at the University of Toledo.
During Adam’s M2 and M3 years, he remained dedicated to providing peer tutoring through his medical school while also becoming involved with research investigating the effect of ACL repair on the neuromuscular system. He developed a passion for adaptive sports and, subsequently, volunteered extensively with individuals with a wide range of mental and physical disabilities.
His love for peer mentoring and understanding the intricacies of different learning styles helped him earn a first-time pass on Step 1, followed by a score of 269 on Step 2. His academic efforts, leadership, and volunteer activities led to him being inducted into an AOA medical honor society. Adam looks forward to sharing his past mentoring and tutoring experiences to help future students fully harness their learning potential and confidence in their own abilities.
Currently, Adam is in the midst of his fourth year of medical school and has applied to physical medicine and rehabilitation residencies. Some of his favorite moments are spent watching Formula 1 with his wife, dog (named Cowboy), and two cats. He also enjoys CrossFit, spending time with family, traveling, and seeking out the best restaurants in new cities.
