Bio

Dr. Cardillo graduated with a bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Central Arkansas before earning his MD at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. During medical school, he took an active role on the admissions committee, where he interviewed prospective students and contributed to the selection process. Following his medical education, Dr. Cardillo completed a clinical pathology residency at the University of Rochester in New York. There, he further developed his admissions expertise by ranking and interviewing residency applicants, gaining valuable insights into the qualities that define successful candidates. He then pursued a clinical informatics fellowship at New York University, where he conducted research on the utility of artificial intelligence in enhancing medical school admissions processes.

Currently, Dr. Cardillo serves as a board-certified clinical pathologist at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City, where he plays a vital role in the diagnosis and treatment of cancer patients. His commitment to education and mentorship is evident in his numerous teaching awards as he continues to inspire and empower medical students and residents while they navigate their careers in healthcare. Through his work, Dr. Cardillo remains dedicated to fostering the next generation of medical professionals, helping them develop the skills and knowledge necessary for success in their respective fields.
