Bio

Dr. Smith graduated Cum Laude from East Mississippi Community College with an Associate of Arts in Biology and BS in Biology from Mississippi University for Women. He earned an Associate, Bachelor, and Master’s degree all within 3 years of graduating high school. Throughout his tenure at each school he tutored many students on various subjects such as Algebra, Trigonometry, Biology, and Chemistry.

Dr. Smith attended medical school at Ross University School of Medicine. While at RUSM, he volunteered with many student organizations and was a strong advocate for undergraduate mentoring. He graduated from RUSM in the Spring of 2018 and successfully matched into Internal Medicine Residency at Magnolia Regional Health Center in Corinth, MS. Dr. Smith graduated with a Master’s in Business Administration in the Fall of 2018 and was named Intern of the Year in his residency program. Dr. Smith has a nonprofit organization called the Inspirational MD where he mentors many residents, medical students, undergraduates, and high school students. He has assisted and hosted many health fairs and community events. Dr. Smith is currently a Cardiology fellow at the University of Mississippi Medical Center and has plans to subspecialize in Structural Heart Disease.
