Jon is a senior at Vanderbilt University studying neuroscience and studio art, and minoring in Spanish. In his art practice, Jon works to communicate dense scientific ideas in approachable and exciting media such as video, painting, and sculpture. When it comes to research, he is involved in several projects, including psychology research of facial recognition as well as cancer biology research. He also works as a volunteer Spanish medical interpreter.
Through these ventures, Jon has developed a strength for people-centered communication of scientific topics, making the dense content areas of the MCAT feel approachable. As a tutor, he recognizes the diversity in the people taking the MCAT and works hard to meet each student where they are while helping them get to where they want to be. His strengths in test-taking strategies and memorizing material are complemented by his conviction that MCAT preparation is most successful when sustainably balanced with personal enjoyment and satisfaction.
