Osama Syed grew up in central New Jersey. He attended Rutgers University and graduated in 2018 with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science. During his undergraduate studies, he worked part time as a console operator for a local hospital. He began tutoring students for organic chemistry during his junior year, then briefly He stopped tutoring as he set to begin medical school at Rowan University SOM in August of 2018. He began tutoring anatomy during his first year of medical school.
Academically, Osama has done well as a medical student. He scored 263 on Step 1 and 760 on COMLEX level 1. He honored all his core rotations as a third-year medical student and scored a 257 on Step 2, 847 on COMLEX level 2. Osama currently mentors pre-med students through a program offered by the Rowan SOM. His desire to teach led him to join the team at MedSchoolCoach and he looks forward to helping future physicians progress through medical education.
Currently, Osama is a fourth-year medical student who is applying to diagnostic radiology. He hopes to continue helping future physicians throughout his career. He has several hobbies and interests which include weightlifting, cooking/meal-preparation, gardening, nutrition, basketball, anime, drawing, and spending time with friends and family.
