Pratik was born and raised in Michigan, where he was an SAT in high school. He attended Cornell University, where he graduated as a member of Phi Beta Kappa. During his time there, he worked as a genetics lead teaching assistant, a biochemistry teaching assistant, a chemistry private tutor, and an MCAT tutor for MedSchoolCoach. He also did research in medical decision-making. After graduating early from Cornell, he was promoted to master tutor at MedSchoolCoach, working over 700 hours helping many students achieve success on the MCAT exam.
Pratik matriculated to the University of Michigan Medical School in Ann Arbor, where he is a member of the Gold Humanism Honors Society. He does research in several domains, including medical education, anesthesiology, ophthalmology, homeless medicine, migrant encampment medicine, and interventional radiology quality improvement, presenting and publishing some of this work. He has received grant funding for his efforts as well.
After Pratik earned a pass on Step 1 and a 263 on Step 2, he became a USMLE tutor for MedSchoolCoach. He personalizes his teaching approach to each student and focuses on helping them understand the concepts thoroughly while also enhancing necessary memorization skills.
In his free time, Pratik enjoys reading, swimming, weightlifting, and traveling around the world.
