Bio

Dr. Khan grew up in Georgia and graduated from Emory University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration, earning the distinction of highest honors. Her academic journey continued at Yale School of Medicine, where she dedicated an additional year to clinical research, culminating in a thesis that underscored her commitment to advancing medical knowledge. During her time at Yale, she also participated in international global health electives, broadening her perspective on healthcare delivery. Dr. Khan began her medical training in her top choice for residency at Massachusetts General Hospital’s anesthesiology program. However, after gaining experience in the operating room, she recognized her passion for a more public health-oriented field. This realization led her to complete her residency in occupational and environmental medicine at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, where she excelled as chief resident and was honored with induction into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society.

In addition to her clinical training, Dr. Khan simultaneously pursued a master’s degree in public health at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, further integrating her medical knowledge with public health principles. Upon graduation, she was inducted into the Delta Omega Honorary Society, reflecting her dedication to the field. Throughout her education and training, Dr. Khan has been a dedicated mentor to dozens of premedical students navigating the medical school and residency application process. Her passion for teaching and mentoring extends across all levels of medical education, as she strives to inspire and guide the next generation of healthcare professionals.
