Samee was born and raised in Houston, Texas. He went to a small private school in Houston for his undergraduate degrees, where he graduated with a Biochemistry and Philosophy double major. Samee has always had a passion for tutoring and mentorship, which began during his years in high school. He started as a chemistry tutor, and then during college progressed to becoming a chemistry teacher for a small cohort of home schooled students in the Houston area. After graduating, he was accepted into the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) school of medicine where he is now an MS4. During medical school, Samee has had the pleasure of continuing to tutor students in the years below him with both school specific course work and STEP 1 specific tutoring. He received a 271 on STEP 1 and a 269 on Step 2. Cumulatively, Samee has been participating as a tutor or mentor for almost 9 years and has over one year of tutoring experience for the STEP 1 exam specifically. Samee is currently in between his 3rd and 4th year of medical school and is pursuing an MPH. He hopes to apply to combined Internal Medicine and Pediatrics programs during his 4th year and is interested in becoming a global oncologist.
