Bio
Evan was born and raised in Ann Arbor, Michigan. He studied neuroscience and Spanish at the University of Michigan where he graduated with high distinction. During his undergraduate years, he demonstrated a passion for education and mentorship through several volunteer organizations all while achieving academic success and building his pre-medical resumé. After graduating, he matriculated to the University at Buffalo, Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences.
Throughout medical school, Evan continued to foster his interest in teaching and mentorship through various clubs, including Best Buddies and the New York State Mentoring program. He also developed an affinity for academic medicine and research, resulting in publications in multiple journals. He passed Step 1 on his first attempt and earned a score of 268 on Step 2 CK. He attributes his score on Step 2 to the strong foundation he built in his studies for Step 1 and his success on his shelf exams.
Currently, Evan is a fourth-year medical student applying to internal medicine residency with the ultimate goal of practicing cardiology. He is eager to impart his own experiences and strategies to the next wave of successful medical students.
