Bio

Abdul Reheem graduated from the University of Illinois with a bachelor’s degree in molecular and cellular biology. Abdul then spent a year working in a primary care clinic as a medical assistant prior to matriculating to he Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW). Currently, he is a PGY-2 resident in head and neck surgery at UCLA.

Abdul is passionate about guiding students to reach their potential. While in medical school, he pursued the clinician-educator pathway track, where he received additional training to be an educator in medicine. Additionally, he has tutored and mentored under-represented minoritized students through programs in MCW to succeed on the MCAT and gain admission into medical school. Beyond work with students, Abdul has performed research on medical education to identify ways to better teach under-represented minoritized students. At UCLA, Abdul is mentoring medical students planning to pursue head and neck surgery.

In his free time, Abdul enjoys swimming and likes to learn how to cook traditional Egyptian dishes.
