What Students Say

Bio

David Yan is currently a MD/Ph.D. student at Case Western Reserve University. Previously, he graduated from the same school with a degree in chemistry. Invested in research, David has worked on developing small molecule drug candidates that have resulted in publications and patents. He enjoys applying principles of science to explain medical concepts and has a lot of experience tutoring students ranging from elementary school to college students. This experience has helped him develop the skills needed to teach students how to answer questions through critical reasoning and deduction as opposed to memorization. This is especially pertinent to the MCAT where, often, new information is given on passages and critical analysis skills are crucial to answering the questions correctly. David ensures all of his students find the correct balance of work-life so that they are not only successful on the MCAT, but also as a future physician.
