Michelle Knapp earned her undergraduate degree in English from California State University Fullerton in 2005. She then went on to pursue graduate studies at Chapman University in Orange, California. In 2008, she earned a master’s degree in English and a master of fine arts in creative writing. Her creative writing thesis project was writing a full length novel. It took up a large part of two years, and taught Michelle a lot about herslef and what kind of writer she is.
For several years, she worked as a medical editor for worker’s compensation claims. Michelle then moved on to do publications work and technical writing for a career college. In 2018, she made a career change when she took a job at the writing center at Chaffey College.
Currently, she works as a faculty member in the Writing Success Center doing supplemental instruction. Michelle also teaches English composition at University of the People, a fully-online university.
