Dr. Ugorji graduated summa cum laude from York College of the City University of New York with a bachelor’s degree in chemistry. In college, she tutored general chemistry and engaged in research before earning her medical degree from the State University of New York (SUNY) Downstate Health Sciences University in Brooklyn. After medical school, she completed her pediatric residency at the University of Florida in Jacksonville, where she served as chief resident and sat on the admissions committee while actively participating in resident recruitment and selection.
Dr. Ugorji is board certified in pediatrics and has lived and worked in Florida, New York, and Arizona. With a special interest in pediatric skin conditions, she completed clinical research fellowships in pediatric dermatology in both California and New York. Throughout her career, she has also dedicated herself to mentoring and advising premedical students, medical students, and residents.
