PreMed Scholarship Terms & Conditions


Official Rules and Terms & Conditions

NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER TO WIN NOR WILL A PURCHASE INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. Read complete contest information before applying. Please read all requirements carefully. By entering the contest you agree to these Rules, Terms, and Conditions.

Entries that do not meet ALL requirements will be automatically disqualified from the contest without notification to the applicant.


This #Premed Scholarship is sponsored by: MedSchoolCoach, LLC (“MSC”)


  • One (1) winning applicant will receive a Gold Award valued at $13,000, and consisting of a MedSchoolCoach Gold MCAT Tutoring package, MCAT Prep by MedSchoolCoach Premium Subscription, and MedSchoolCoach Gold Advising package.
  • Three (3) winning applicants will receive Silver awards valued at $9,000 each, and consisting of MedSchoolCoach Silver Advising packages.
  • Deadline to apply: Dec 1, 2020.
  • Winners announced: Jan 15, 2020.
  • Duration: Winners will work with MedSchoolCoach throughout the 2021/22 MCAT and Medical School Admissions cycle.


The scholarship is aimed at students who current juniors, seniors or recent college graduates and who meet the following criteria:

  • GPA (unweighted) of 3.5 or above in a rigorous courseload.
  • Demonstrated extracurricular interests and leadership, or significant family responsibilities.
  • A strong desire to give back to the community.
  • The scholarship is offered to U.S. citizens because MedSchoolCoach is a US-based organization. There are fewer legal barriers when offering scholarships or giveaways in an organization’s home country. Opening this scholarship up internationally would mean navigating international laws that differ significantly across countries. Currently, the MedSchoolCoach legal team is not equipped to take on this challenge. 
  • Only one entry per person.
  • The scholarship is not available to employees, officers, directors or contractors of MedSchoolCoach or their immediate family members.
  • Applicants must complete all steps of the application process to be considered.


The application includes: (1) basic personal and contact information and a short questionnaire; (2) submission of a resume; (3) a short (no more than 300 words) written essay; (4) two recommendations and (5) a video submission of no more than 5 minutes in length. The entirety of the application must be submitted through the application link. Applications submitted in parts to MedSchoolCoach emails will be considered incomplete.


All responses to the questionnaire must meet the following requirements:

  • Written in English and free of grammatical errors.
  • 300 words or fewer.
  • Original content that does not violate any intellectual property or copyright laws, and is suitable for publication.

Applicants may only submit one video, and it must meet the following requirements:

  • Words spoken must be in English.
  • Accepted formats: .avi, .mov, .mpg, .mp4, mpeg, or .wmv provided via a google drive link with permissions set to edit for anyone with the link.
  • 5 minutes or less.
  • Original content that does not violate any intellectual property or copyright laws, and suitable for publication.
  • Cannot infringe on any third-party intellectual property rights.
  • Cannot be the same video as submitted in prior rounds of the #Premed Scholarship.
  • Videos must be raw, unedited footage and should not include animations, text overlays, or combined/spliced clips.

Please follow these technical guidelines:

To LOOK Good:

  • Find a quiet room.
  • Find a comfortable chair that doesn’t rock or swivel.
  • Place your webcam between you and a light source.
  • Get the webcam lens just above eye level.
  • Find and sit in front of a relatively plain background.
  • Try to make eye contact with the camera – avoid looking at yourself.
  • Frame yourself from the middle of your shot.

To SOUND Good:

  • Introduce yourself.
  • Respond to the prompt.
    Address the audience directly.
  • Keep the recording to less than 5 minutes.
  • Speak naturally and clearly.

Scholarship awardees will be chosen by a selection committee composed of MedSchoolCoach professionals, and selected on the basis of quality of completed application, questionnaire responses, and video submission. The committee’s decision is final. Winners will be notified via email or phone on or before December 15, 2020.

Acceptance of award constitutes permission (except where prohibited by law) to use winners’ names, cities, states, likenesses, voices, or any other information that you provide about yourself, for purposes of advertising, promotion, and publicity without additional compensation in any and all media now or hereafter devised, worldwide in perpetuity, without any form of notice, limitation, or any amount or kind of compensation or permission.

For a period of one year after being selected, the recipient of the MedSchoolCoach #Premed Scholarship will be required to submit periodic updates on their progress in the form of content that may be shared on the MedSchoolCoach website, ProspectiveDoctor website, or any other distribution channels chosen by MedSchoolCoach. This content could take the form of a video, a blog, or an interview, and will be directed and initiated by the recipient’s contact at MedSchoolCoach.


By submitting the documentation associated with your scholarship application, you agree that your responses, including but not limited to text answers, images, and video files, will become the property of MedSchoolCoach and that the company will have the right to publish them, including the use of materials for marketing or promotional purposes, on the MedSchoolCoach website, social media platforms, YouTube channel, or other media channels or formats without prior notification. Additionally, you agree to all of the terms and conditions contained in the MedSchoolCoach Privacy Policy. In the event of any discrepancy between MedSchoolCoach’s Privacy Policy and these Official Rules, Terms & Conditions, these Official Rules, Terms & Conditions shall control and govern.


MedSchoolCoach reserves the right to terminate this promotion without notice as deemed appropriate. Notwithstanding said termination, the scholarships will be awarded as set forth in these Official Rules.


MedSchoolCoach is not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, technical error, or human error which may occur in the processing of entries and submissions. MedSchoolCoach assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, or alteration of entries. MedSchoolCoach reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend the #Premed Scholarship in whole or in part, at any time.


Except where prohibited, all issues or disputes concerning the construction, validity, interpretation, and enforceability of these Official Rules, Terms & Conditions, or the rights and obligations of any entrants, the winner, or MedSchoolCoach, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the State of Massachusetts, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules or provisions (whether of the State of Massachusetts or any other jurisdiction), which might otherwise cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than the State of Massachusetts. Any action seeking legal or equitable relief arising out of or relating to the Scholarship or these Official Rules and Terms & Conditions shall be brought only in the courts in Boston, Massachusetts. You hereby irrevocably consents to the personal jurisdiction of said courts and waive any claim of forum non-convenience or lack of personal jurisdiction they may have. Should any condition contained in these Official Terms & Conditions prove unenforceable, void or incomplete, the validity of the other conditions will remain unaffected.


By entering and submitting a scholarship application, participants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of MedSchoolCoach, which shall be final. By accepting the Scholarship, the winner winner agrees to hold the Promotion Entities, each of their respective affiliates, and each of their respective shareholders, directors, officers, employees, members, agents, successors and assigns (collectively, “Released Parties”) harmless against any and all claims and liability arising out of the Scholarship. If, for any reason, the promotion is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of the promotion, MedSchoolCoach reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend the promotion and to select winners from among all eligible entries received prior to the date of termination.

MedSchoolCoach reserves the right to amend or modify the Rules, Terms and Conditions at any time during the promotion.
